ABOUT
Ivana Tarraza (b.1995) is a multi-disciplinary artist and fashion designer from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ivana graduated as a Magna Cum Laude from the Miami International University of Art and Design in 2018 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. During her time in college she interned with Oscar Carvallo working on couture gowns and Viviana Gabeiras alongside her pattern maker for mass production.
Since 2015 Ivana began to create illustrations that study the human anatomy, which later incorporated the flora and fauna. With this concept she created “Anatomiko" and formally launched the project in 2018, she has been able to exhibit in New York, Puerto Rico and Barcelona. She also creates murals, having done several in different locations; Miami, Barcelona and Puerto Rico. While balancing her fashion and art life she worked for international artist Alexis Diaz assisting in murals, private commissions and pi-
eces for exhibitions. She now creates one of a kind pieces for clients, exhibitions and sells general prints for brick & mortar, her online shop and pop-up events. Ivana's artwork has been published in local press including Wapa TV, Telemundo, El Nuevo Día newspaper and more.
In 2018 she began working with Planet Fashion TV producing fashion shows during Miami Swim Week. After this experience she fell in love with event production and has produced shows during New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Art Basel, Miami Swim Week, Monaco Grand Prix and more. She has had the opportunity to work with brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Agua de Coco, Forever21, OhPolly, Lacoste, Adore Me and more. Her tasks include model casting direction, sourcing staff and sponsorship, art direction, project management, event logistics and "back of house" leadership on the day of the show.
While event off-seasons in 2019 she worked as a Soft Goods Designers at Prototype Monster, a design firm in Miami, creating product samples and tech-packs to be manufactured in China.
